Step by Step Guide for Creating the Azure Virtual Machine

The VM of Azure is the computing resource provided by the Azure. It is very high scalable resource. It also provides very best control for computing environment. This supports flexible virtualization. This is possible without the need of purchase & maintenance of the hardware. In same time we need to concentrate on some factors before creating the VM in the Azure. These factors are Configuring & patching. Also, we need to install the required software for the maintenance of the VM.

One of the best things with the VM is, we can develop and test easily. Also, we can easily connect with the industry’s extended data centers. On the cloud Azure play a major role. It is one of the important tools for the scalability of the apps. Also, cost-effectiveness is one of the biggest advantages of Azure.

In this article we are going to see how to create the Azure VM.

Creating the Azure VM Quickly:

1st step:

First, we need to login to the management portal of the Azure.

2nd Step:

We need to locate & click on the virtual machines. This will be in left panel. After that, we need to click on the ‘Create the virtual machine’.

3rd step:

Alternatively, we need to click on the ‘New’. This is available at the bottom of the left corner. After that, we need to click on the ‘Compute’. Then we need to select the ‘Virtual Machine’. After that, go to the ‘Quick Create’.

4th Step:

We need to enter the name of the DNS. The DNS name must be unique. Using this DNS name only we can connect to virtual machine.

5th Step:

We need to select images & size from dropdown list. The size will affect the running cost of the Virtual Machine.

6th Step:

In this step, we need to give the username as well as password. We must remember this for the later login to the VM.

7th Step:

We need to select relevant region.

8th Step:

Now, we need to click on the ‘Create the Virtual Machine’. Now, we are ready for using our new machine. This will take fewer mins for creating the VM.

Creating the VM using the advanced settings:

1st step:

First, we need to select the ‘Custom create’. This is instead of selecting the ‘Quick Create’. This will be in the options. After this, the below screen will be displayed.

2nd Step:

We need to select image from list. We can able to find choosing the image is quite easier. This is based on the category which is displayed on left side. Now, we are going to create the VM for the SQL. For this we need to select the SQL server. This will be displayed on left side. Also, all the required software will be displayed in middle.

3rd step:

Now, we need to click on Next arrow.

4th Step:

We need to select the Versions release date. Then we need to enter the name of the VM.

5th Step:

We need to choose the Tier. Dropdown of the size will change the item based on the Tier. In basic version, only there are 5 options. But, in standard version there are a greater number of options. This is based on the requirements of our images. Let’s see with an example. If we choose the SQL server, then we must need minimum of A4 machine with 14GB memory and 8 cores.

6th Step:

In this step, we need to give the username as well as password. Then we need to click on the Next arrow.

7th Step:

We need to enter the name of the DNS. The DNS name must be unique. Also, we need to select relevant region.

In storage account option, it displayed storage account details. That is which we have already created. This will be shown in the below diagram. We can select the account which we have already created. Or we can use the account which is generated automatically.

8th Step:

The next option is the ‘Available set’. Using this option, we can able to create the set of VM. This ensures when failure occurs in single point. In such case it will not affect our machine as well as our work. Now here, we are going to select none.

Final option is the end point. This will use to communicate with the VM by the other resources.

9th Step:

Finally, we need to click on the Next. It may take fewer seconds for generating new VM.

Connect to the Virtual Network:

1st Step:

We can able to create the VM as using the before mentioned steps. If we have already having a Virtual network which we have already created in Azure? Then we can see this in the list which is highlighted dropdown. This is shown below.

2nd Step:

When we go to our Virtual network & the management portal which are created before. We need to click on the Dashboard. The VM will display in resources of the network. This is shown below.

Conclusion:

The process for creating the VM is very easy. Using the above-mentioned step, we can able to create new VM. In this article, we have discussed about the steps for creating the VM. Also, we can able to connect with the Virtual Network of the Azure. Hope this article validates your time.
